I found some better webcams. On this website you can look at cameras looking at eagles, owls, bluebirds, and many more. They refresh every 10 seconds.

By Request

We have some definite bird lovers in our classroom. Thank you for all your interest in the site. I had one student suggest a specific link to one of their favorite websites. Thank you Ethan! As many of us know Ethan has a passion for owls. He suggested that we all check out Owl Pages to learn more about these extraordinary birds.

Birding in New York City

We have been birding all over the City. We have traveled to The Ramble, Harlem Meer, Riverside Park, Prospect Park, and The Boat Pond in Central Park.

Today in class we came up with a list of tips for birding in New York city.

What do you think is the most important thing to remember when you go birding and why?

Example: I think when you go birding it is important to have binoculars so you can see birds that are far away.

Research...Research...Research...

Even though we have a lot of books in class it is always a good idea to look at a variety of sources when doing research. Check out your bird on this website. Work with your partner and look for any information you may not have.
**Make a comment about one new fact that you learned while researching today.**
